Thank you all for your support so far! All designs are now unlocked and available. All pin pledges will get a piece of bismuth and a freebie pin with their pledge.

The open edition bismuth design is available if you missed out on the limited edition version. Only B grades will be available of the Limited edition after the campaign and will not be able to be purchased directly. 

Here's a 3D render of the freebie pin design. Purple glitter amethyst geode with a hole in the center. The pin will be a 1 inch circle with two back posts!

A survey will go out to every backer after the campaign ends where you can provide your shipping address and select which pin designs you backed for. An open edition Bismuth design + Emerald Beryl. Freebie design?

Here is the finalized design for the emerald Beryl. The green areas will be translucent and the grey will be pearl enamel. The light grey lines will be mid-raised so they are covered by the transparent enamel but still visibly raised underneath to add some depth.  Earlybird backers, please add $12 and regular backers please add $14. This unlocks at $2800 which means it is available now!

With the make 100 edition design completely sold out, I thought I might make a new design with the same concept that is not limited edition. This design will not be numbered or have make100 on the back. It is more in line with real bismuth shapes than the mini pin design. The size will be 1.125x1.125 inches, slightly smaller than the Make100 version. This is a completely different design. Early birds add $10 to your pledge for this design and regular backers please add $12. This will unlock at $3500 along with the freebie pin!

Freebie pin! The center area would be cut out. The design is still in the works but this is the current direction I am heading with it. This would be free to all backers if we hit $3500!

We are so close to the finish line and I think we can easily get all of these unlocked! Thank you for all of your support so far!

WOW! I am blown away by the support of this project! You guys ROCK. *cough* I immediately got to work on this mini bismuth inspired pin design. I sent it out for a quote and will add it to the campaign as soon as I hear back!

The big question is what do we do next? Other rocks and minerals?  There are some rocks with really cool geometry out there and many others with awesome colors. Have a suggestion?  Check out this survey to leave a suggestion and vote on some of the options I think are neat!

Mini Pin update

Hello all! The mini pin has been finalized and it is unlocked now that we have surpassed $850 in funding! So long as we stay above this, the pin will be made. I have added a separate tier for just the mini pin, or you can add it onto your current pledge by adding $8 for early bird backers and $10 for regular backers.

If you have not yet taken the survey from the last update, please do so now so I can get your input on design ideas for stretch goals! A lot of really cool rocks have been suggested and I am looking into all of them and seeing how they could be translated into pin form!

I have updated this design slightly, enlarging it from 1 inch tall to 1.25 inches tall just to be sure the details come through.

Once again, thank you all for supporting this project so far! I can't wait to bring these designs to life!

Next Goal! Ammolite Ammonite. Unlocks at $1,400

"Ammolite is an opal-like organic gemstone found primarily along the eastern slopes of the Rocky Mountains of North America. It is made of the fossilized shells of ammonites, which in turn are composed primarily of aragonite, the same mineral contained in nacre, with a microstructure inherited from the shell." - From Wikipedia

Here is the design! It will be fully filled with glitter to reflect the incredible rainbow reflections that ammolite has.  Some of the areas in the design are too small at present to be filled, especially with glitter so some minor changes will be made to the design to make sure that it is jam packed with iridescent glitter.

Early bird backers please add $12 to your pledge.

Regular backers please add $14 to your pledge.

Early bird: $10 (main pin) + $8 (mini pin) +  $12 (ammolite pin) = $30 usd + shipping

Regular: $13 (main pin) + $10 (mini pin) +  $14 (ammolite pin) = $37 usd + shipping

As to avoid posting too many updates, any previews of designs will be shared on my Instagram before being officially added to the campaign so keep an eye out there for sketches and designs before they hit the campaign officially!
